Home Information Packs (HIPs) and the associated Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are undoubtedly one of the most pointless pieces of regulation imposed upon the home-buying process.

Sadly HIPs and EPCs are here to stay at least for the time being.

Costs will inevitably vary depending upon the size of the property and it’s location with regard to local authority fees.

With HIPs and EPCs required for all residential properties from 14 th December 2007 we recognise that speed is important especially if the Government change the rules governing First Day Marketing which would essentially mean that you cannot market your property as being for sale with out having a HIP in place !

IF WE PREPARE YOUR HIP THEN YOU WILL OWN THE HIP !!

Beware of Estate Agents and brokers offering you packages to include a “free” HIP. If they fail to sell your property and you want to sell privately or through another agent they will not release the HIP to you without asking you to pay a fee. THEY WILL OWN YOUR HIP !!
